  • Condition: Items must be unworn, unaltered, and in original packaging with tags attached
  • Return Shipping: Customer responsibility (except for damaged/incorrect items)

The Detailed Costume Return Process

Step 1: Initiate Your Return or Exchange

Step 2: Wait for Authorization

Our customer service team (based in Homer, Alaska) will respond within 24 hours on business days with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions.

Step 3: Package and Ship Your Return

Step 4: Receive Your Refund or Exchange

Once we receive and inspect your return (typically within 3-5 business days):

  • Refunds: Will be processed to your original payment method within 5-7 business days
  • Exchanges: Your replacement item will ship within 1-2 business days after we process your return

Items That Cannot Be Returned

To maintain the authenticity and quality our customers expect from historical and theatrical costumes, the following items cannot be returned unless damaged or defective:

  • Adhesives (for hygiene and safety reasons)
  • Customized or Altered Costumes (including specially sized historical garments)
  • Opened Makeup or Costume Appliques
  • Costumes from our “A Christmas Carol” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” collections that have been used in performances

Special Circumstances

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged item or the wrong costume (perhaps a 1970s disco outfit when you ordered a 1600s Elizabethan gown), please contact us immediately. We’ll cover return shipping and expedite your replacement.

International Returns

While we ship costumes worldwide (excluding some remote areas in Asia), international customers are responsible for return shipping costs and any applicable customs fees. Refunds will be issued in US dollars.
